The beaches of Mancora, a paradise in northern Peru

Cusco and Machu Picchu, Lima, Peru Amazon jungle … has tourist attractions that are recognized worldwide. But are not the only places worth a visit. Mancora district in the province of Talara (Piura), has magnificent beaches, each with its own identity.
Mancora is located at kilometer 1165 of the Panamericana Norte, on the northern department of Piura. Its attractive climate (the lowest ever drop below 15 degrees) assures visitors throughout the year, who come attracted by the sunny days and a sea that invites surfing and diving. The town has basic tourist services: Internet access, convenience stores, ATMs and a hospital.

Mancora and its surrounding neighborhoods are a sequence of beach that juts into the north. Pocitas, three kilometers from downtown, is known for its tranquility and the quality of its hotel establishments. This beach gets its name because, at low tide, natural pools are formed between the rocks.
Vichayito is located between the beaches of Pocitas and organs. This area is ideal for kitesurfing, thanks to its strong winds. Besides the “bajerío Peña Mala” north, is recommended for diving.
