Stonehenge is a megalithic construction, which was conducted between 3000 and 1600 BC (dates close to the Neolithic and Bronze Age). Each stone of Stonehenge weighs around 50 tonnes, and is regarded despite his seniority as a work of engineering and art.
Although it is not clear who built the monument and for what purpose, it is speculated that the potential outside a temple dedicated to ancient gods, an astronomical observatory or a place of sacrifice.

To travel or visit Stonehenge, you have to come to Amesbury, a town that is located in the region of Wiltshire in the UK. The location is in southwest London, about 100 kilometers, and approximately 13 miles from Salisbury.
