And is that Stockholm was founded in the thirteenth century precisely in Gamla Stan, which encompasses the islands of Stadsholmen, which is colloquially known as Gamla Stan, and Helgeandsholmen Riddarholmen.

In this little piece of Sweden we find empredadas narrow streets, splendid squares, haughty airs houses medieval and Renaissance and, above all, the grand Royal Palace, built in 1760 in baroque style, with no fewer than 600 rooms. Currently, the kings of Sweden live in the palace of Drottningholm, but previously lived here.

But apart from this Palace in Gamla Stan are buildings full of history and culture, such as the Nobel Museum, opened in 2001 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of these prestigious awards. Also find the House of Nobility or de los Caballeros (Riddarhuset), impressive building of the XVII century dedicated to social events of the nobility, or Riddarholmenla Church, located on the island of Riddarholmen and where ancient kings were buried in Sweden.
