Unless you’re a veteran traveler who can manage traveling alone or know South Africa well, it would be wise to opt for a travel agent. Good South African Travel Agents provide information as well as experience. South Africa Travel Agents help you to decide about the flights that suit you best, find a good accommodation at a price that’s right for you and ensure that everything goes as effortlessly as possible.

There are a number of travel agencies in South Africa and most of them plan a safari tour in South Africa. So how do you choose the best company in the league? Here’s how you can pick a travel agency in South Africa:

It is important to ask about your destination first since safari tours are off the beaten path. Look for one that specializes in safari tours in South Africa.

As price varies drastically from agency to agency, compare prices. Though you need to pay more with a smaller company you often get a lot more individual attention from them unlike larger agencies, who though charge lesser pay less personal attention. However, it must be remembered here, that the lowest amount is not always the best option.

Carefully go through the contract in order to steer clear of being locked. If you plan a trip with a South Africa travel agency, check out the basic version of the contract. If you need flexibility, select an agency that allows change of dates, cancellations and so forth.

Go through online reviews. A large number of big and small companies have been reviewed online. Sine people tend to exaggerate or understate when it comes to reviewing, reviews are not 100% accurate. Online reviews only help to get a general idea of the type of service being provided by a particular agent.

A good way to get opinions about a company is to have a talk with friends and family members. Ask detailed questions about the agencies they used and whether they would opt for them one more time. Some companies offer incentives on the subsequent trip to the person based on a referral basis.

Depending on destinations and length of stay vacations price varies. Before you decide upon a specific company, talk to them about when you would like to travel to know if they have enough time to plan your tour.

Review the package deals on offer. You can save money by opting for one of the Cape Town holiday packages or Botswana Safari Packages. Once you have narrowed down your list to just a handful of companies, have a look at the packages they offer and decide as per your convenience and budget.

Equipped with friendly and knowledgeable staffs Companies like South African tour and safari expert Sussi Safari offer transport guides, provide tour directors, hotel or lodge accommodation, safari suppliers and all the related services required to create a grand experience. Knowing the tricks of how to pick an efficient travel agency select one and get ready for your African Safari.

A little research on sabbatical to South Africa will throw up a lot of activities you can participate in. In fact it would be fair to say that South Africa’s delay or so years has it covered when it comes to a multitude activities. Sabbaticals Wildlife conservation, volunteering, sports gap years and only their standard backpack. There is something so compelling about spending time in South Africa, which is very difficult to describe on paper.

Read more on Sightseeing in Germany and Adventure Family Holidays in Morocco and also visit on Travel in Singapore

South Africa Weather
Increasingly hot and crowded South Africa during the UK winter months from November to March. This is also the busiest period for tourists and locals. For a cooler temperature and less busy period, the summer months in the UK in July and August are a good time to go. When I visited South Africa in July and August the weather was sunny and warm, mostly but not too hot, so the best time for me to travel. It was perfect for all activities. It was nice and quiet at this time also, and this is the cheapest time to visit South Africa. I made sure I read lots of travel tips before travel to South Africa to ensure that rode the best time for me, it was July and August, as I prefer the milder temperatures.

Getting to South Africa
The main airports are Johannesburg International Airport and Cape Town International. Flights normally takes 12 hours. I flew from Manchester to Amsterdam to Johannesburg on the road, and on the way back from Cape Town (extra £ 50 and additional 2 hours) Johannesburg to Amsterdam to Manchester. Along the way, this happened about 12 hours and all day the first left in the morning and arrived at night, but on the way back I spent about 36 hours to get home as I had long delays between different connections . It seemed very busy Johannesburg and had actually managed to gather a large amount of luggage more than you started with, but there is a place to store your luggage in the basement so you can wait for your flight without having to carry all your luggage with you.

Getting around South Africa
As a general guide, public transport in South Africa is not very reliable, but the roads are good, so it is easy to rent a car or the Baz Bus is a hop-on hop-off bus service affordable for backpackers, which is a great way to meet like minded people. You can also book an organized tour, which also can be very economical. I transport all three during my travels. I started with an organized tour was a great way for me to ease in traveling alone to meet new people very well, then use the Baz Bus and met with hundreds of people all traveling the same route that I, then I hired a car with two people who had befriended on the trip. This was a great way to see South Africa by dividing the cost and have more freedom to go wherever we wanted in South Africa. Best South Africa Travel Tip I can give is to make sure you trust people before you vulnerable.

Choosing to go on vacation to Johannesburg is well worth the time and money. There are cheap flights to Johannesburg as well. Finding these flights out are quite simple while you look to purchase the tickets.

Johannesburg is the richer part in the centre of South Africa, also known as the financial centre. This is definitely one of the most dynamic cities. The metropolis offers a huge choice in shopping opportunities; as well you will see the restaurant scene to be very alive, with the great vibe of the nightlife there.

The cheap flights Johannesburg and the hotel accommodation are inexpensive and even the luxury hotels and resorts will surprise you on how little it is to pay for the cheap flights to Johannesburg

Johannesburg is the biggest city and financially stable centre in the country.

The metropolis has over four million people and growing fast. The reflection of a country that is I the growth of rapid development Johannesburg, Africa is without a doubt this is the number one city and considered to be the most important city in the country ad based on the gold mining industry, this city is referred as the ‘City Of Gold’.

While you have relaxed and got into the hotel of your choice, you now get to be a part of Johannesburg’s activities. There are numerous paintball companies. You will be suited in the protective overalls and masks, before you start your shoot out in the African bush settings. This will give you the game more edge in the bushes and lively areas full of trees.

You may choose to take something in more relaxed if so, you should definitely check out the events and festivals that are offered in this beautiful city. There is a live motoring theatre, with stunt driving and the live action is seen at the Johannesburg’s Coca Cola Dome. You can re-live the popular elements as well while visiting the live motor theatre.

The sightseeing is wonderful, you should take the Soweto tour, and this tour will take you into the huge residential area of Soweto. Some of the housing you will see is from basic to luxurious homes. The tour will take you past the Hector Peterson Museum, and the Mandela house. You may even see what is called a she been, this is a traditional bar and restaurant with the local residents gather at. However, it is strongly recommended that you do not attempt to visit this area alone; it is safer for you if you are with an organized group tour.

There are some cautions that are recommended. One of the top ones is to take precautions to ensure that you do not become a victim, as this is a high crime rate area, however the tourists do not get involved. So be with groups, and keep together. As well you may need to get a Hepatitis B shot; this is strongly urged for visitors.

Your trip to Johannesburg will be one you will enjoy, their etiquette is the same as many other countries. The greetings are by a handshake and normally only use first names as they do. It is customary if you are a female, for the African men to let the woman go first, while they hold the door for you. This mannerism is quite nice, and it will add to the enjoyment of your holiday, and visit to Johannesburg Africa.

I have a passion in life. It’s deep -seated and long-lasting.I LOVE TRAVELLING! And I have done a lot of it in my days.I thought having kids would make it impossible to travel, but fortunately I was wrong.True, it’s not always possible to take one of those spur-of -the-moment trips, but that’s ok.As long as I can travel, I’ll not complain!

My first trip far away from home on my own was a language course in England when I was 13.I stayed with an English family, to learn about other cultures, and in the mornings I attended language-classes.I loved it!During my three weeks’ stay, I made friends, ate strange food and enjoyed myself.Talking about food, once kidney pie was served in the house where I was staying. This was the worst thing I’d ever tasted! Not wanting to be rude, I waited until they had finished and left the table, then I quickly stuck the food in my pocket, wrapped in a napkin.Once outside I threw it away! But at least I had tried something new!

After that I didn’t do much travelling for a few years, busy finishing school and getting a job. Then I married a man who loved travelling as much as me.YES!!Our honey- moon went to Italy. We visited many places, ate good food, and thourogly enjoyed ourselves. For the first time in my life, I saw lemon-trees!

But the most fantastic trip was when we went to Africa, I think.Africa has always fascinated me,so we decided to go for two months, “doing” East Africa.

We stayed two weeks in Nairobi, but it was a little bit boring, actually.A very developed city, but I didn’t really get the pulse of it.Maybe we stayed too short time.Or maybe because we stayed with other foreigners. At first I was scared because of the bars on the windows. What if there is a fire? I asked. The reply was that thieves were a more realistic possibility than fire, so it was better to have the bars. Our hostess even had a special gate to her bed-room, which she locked every time she went out. What a way to live, I remember thinking. They were just going to move away from Kenya, and she was very happy about this. Maybe her negative view of Nairobi rubbed off on me, who knows.

In the middle of our stay in Kenya, we decided to take a bus over to Uganda. The country was being rebuilt after years of internal strife. But thankfully for us, they had started with the roads! We could actually feel the difference when we crossed over the border, because the roads in Kenya were appallingly bad.Suddenly the kidneys returned to their place!

Uganda is a truly beautiful country.Very green and fertile. It was also very poor. And hot! Hot and humid, it was difficult to breath almost. We made sure we drank a lot of water, and we made sure we drank bottled water. All the shots we’d taken beforehand wouldn’t protect us against little dangerous beasts in the water!

Since we were doing low-budget travelling, we found a small hotel on a side-street.There I had another first- cockroaches! I learned to put on the light with my umbrella. Then the roaches would scurry off before I put my feet on the floor! This city was poorer, but more vibrating.(Probably I have to go to the poorer parts of Nairobi next time I visit!) We had lunch with friends who live in a little house, overlooking Lake Victoria. It was so breath-takingly beautiful I could have stayed a whole month. The following day we continued our tour, taking a normal minibus/taxi to Entebbe. Also wonderful scenery.

The only problem, if I may call it that, was that there was a distinct lack of white people.Even in Kampala, the capital.During the reign of Idi Amin, all foreigners were expelled. So now, all of a sudden, I was a rare sensation!People were staring at me, telling their friends to look.Everybody were turning their heads to see me! I never felt threatened, but I did feel like an animal in the zoo.At the same time, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for this people who had suffered so much.

In the evening we were invited to a Ugandan friend, who had prepared typical local food.I really enjoyed it.It’s so interesting to try different food, this is something that comes back in all my travelling.I guess food is such an integral part of life, that it stands out when we go to new places. In Uganda they have lots of different kinds of bananas. They use it for everything, even cooking! Some are big, some are small. Very tasty. With it they served papaya- juice, really good for quenching your thirst.I drank a lot, not knowing it was mixed with tap-water…Later in the evening we took the night-bus back to Nairobi. That’s when I realized I had got dysentery!Never before had I been so sick, but the doctor knew exactly how to treat it.

Despite of this, I continued my travelling, and I STILL LOVE IT! I could write a whole book about my travels, and this would be the first chapter..Another time I’ll tell you about my bus-trip in Ethiopia!

If you ever plan to go for an African safari, South Africa should be one of the top destinations you consider to visit. This is because, alongside the traditional safari destinations like Kenya and Tanzania, South Africa gives you one of the best experiences of the African wild and its wildlife. Whether you are interested in spotting the African big five animals, the big cats, or endangered African species, you are sure to see all of them in the several national parks and game reserves in the country. You should therefore consider traveling to South Africa for your next Africa vacation because of the following reasons:

- Incomparable African wildlife safaris:It is only in South Africa where you are assured of seeing the “big seven”. The big seven wildlife incorporate all the big five (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes), plus the southern right whales and the great white sharks. This is in addition to hundreds of other animal species like cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, African wild cats, wildebeests, and several others. Kruger national park is just one of the many South African game reserves in which you can enjoy an amazing wildlife safari.

- Great adventure travel opportunitiesSouth Africa gives you a wider range of adventure activities than probably all other African countries. If you fancy extreme adventure for example, you can go for cage diving in shark infested waters at Dyer Island, bungee jumping at the 160 meters high “Bloukrans Bungi Jump”, and rock climbing at Montagu. Other more moderate adventure options available to you include scuba diving at Sodwana Bay, trekking in the Garden Route, water surfing, and abseiling off the table mountain. And this list mentions just a few.

- Incredible scenic toursSouth Africa is blessed with a diverse array of natural land features and landscapes. From the breathtaking view of the Table mountain as it towers over Cape Town, to the pristine beaches and coastline at the Cape Peninsula, to the stunningly beautiful cape winelands and the snow capped Drakensberg mountains, you will easily fall in love with this African country. If you ever travel to South Africa, make sure to also visit the scenic cape of good hope and Hogsback.

- World class facilities and tourist resorts for all categories of travelersIndisputably, South Africa has the best developed communication and transport infrastructure in Africa. Traveling within the country is therefore very easy and comfortable. Add this to the fact that South African hotels and resorts are among the best in Africa and in the world, and you will easily agree that it is always a delight to have your Africa vacation here. South African hotels win global awards year after year. Some past winners include the Saxon Boutique Hotel & Spa (World’s Leading Boutique Hotel – World Travel Awards, 2009), the Singita Private Game Reserve lodges, and the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa in Cape Town.

- The best of African cultural travelIn no other African country will you find such cultural diversity as is present in South Africa. No wonder the country is called the “rainbow nation”. As you travel across the country to the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Pretoria, Soweto in Johannesburg, you will experience diverse African cultures alongside European and Hindu culture all in one rainbow nation. When you have limited time, you can visit the South African cultural villages. They are great one-stop alternatives for learning more about some of the African cultures.

- A great historical heritageSouth Africa has a very rich history starting from the pre-historic ages to more recent days. There are many interesting relics of this historical heritage still standing today. Some of them have been declared UNESCO world heritage sites. These include the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, which has some ancient rock art painted by the San people more than 40 centuries ago. Another one is the Robben Island, the prison island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years jail sentence together with other political prisoners of the apartheid era

When one thinks of Africa, visions of game seething plains, majestic elephant herds, prides of lions, Armor plated rhinos and a multitude of other beasts left over from the Pleistocene era comes to mind. Africa has jungles and plains, mountains and desert and lakes, rivers and swamps.

Africa is believed to be the cradle of humankind and the diversity of tribes, cultures and people make Africa one of the most fascinating continents on the planet. With the coming of the Europeans, Africa was divided piecemeal by the British, Germans, Portuguese, French and the Dutch and these colonial overseers left a heavy presence behind.

At the southern tip of the continent, the country of South Africa displaces the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east; the most southern part of Africa is the Cape of Good Hope and reaches into some tumultuous seas. South Africa is Dutch being explored and settled by the Boers. These hardy Vortrekkers found a country overwhelmingly rich in natural resources including gold, silver and eventually diamonds.

South Africa is a time machine and the traveler can go from five-star luxury to a primal landscape in the course of a day. Getting to South Africa is easy with direct flights from most of the major cities of the world and with its continual thirst for tourism, cheap flights to South Africa can be found. Cape Town is the premier destination and this modern metropolis is fast becoming a must visit location.

Cape Town hosts some of the country’s most elaborate resorts overlooking the southern sea, there are miles of uncrowded beaches, sailing, jetskiing, parasailing, excellent scuba diving and snorkeling and South Africa has some of the best surfing on earth. Many visitors choose to tour the garden route along the south and east shores where they’ll be overwhelmed by white sand beaches, hidden coves, towering forests and deep gorges.

Others come to South Africa to get back to nature and the many game parks and wilderness areas provide adventures unequaled. Luxurious safari lodges accommodate visitors with opulent living and dining in a primitive setting. Safaris are provided by vehicle, on foot and horseback and are a great way to view the Africa of times past.

South Africa truly has something for everyone and the first step is to search online for cheap flights South Africa and let your South African adventure begin.
